It's full of professional-grade AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Liter readouts, and that large tach goes particularly nicely with the floor shifter.Īn engine bay stuffed with big block V8 power always gets us excited. The Grant sports steering wheel is on a tilt column, and it gives you a clear view to the clean dash that's color matched to the exterior. There are more great features, including cold-blowing air conditioning, power windows, power steering, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input and Bluetooth for the best in modern driving music. The clean presentation of the seats matches the cup holder center console, rear panel, headliner, and the custom door panels for a thoughtful presentation. They are high-back racing-style units that are also finished in a supple tan leather. This is a nice mix of premium and performance, and the seats set the tone perfectly. Pop the remote door openers to reveal the full custom interior. And those Boyds wheels add to the shine while also giving this a 17/20 inch front/rear intimidating stance. Shining bumpers, clear headlights, and awesome trim make for terrific brightwork. So you know the days of this truck bed carrying heavy loads is long gone, and instead, it's there just to haul home the trophies. That's because the bed is now lined with gorgeous smooth lumber, and there's even a custom surf board mounted to the top. It's on an electric hinge to rise up and make jaws drop. There's even a flush-fitting tonneau cover. There's an amazing sleekness over the whole body, including expertly deleting trim and the door handles. It sets off a performance feeling that's continued in details like the hood pins and wide exhaust tips. Added to this is a custom set of ghost flames running up the hood. It's better than anything to come out of the '70s, because not even Hugger Orange has the kind of sparkle that radiates from this metallic paint. Instead, during the thorough restoration an absolutely amazing shade of Sunburst Orange was applied. This might resemble Chevy's legendary Hugger Orange, but you'll never mistake it for that once the sunlight hits this pickup. There's less than 4k miles on this El Camino since completing its frame-off restoration, and the thoughtfulness of this build can be seen everywhere. ![]() So you should already be excited before you check out the performance-built big block, four-wheel disc brakes, upgraded suspension, and four-on the-floor.
